As process technologist you will be working closely with our Operational and Commercial departments for our end products, translating the product requirements and lab scale processes into industrially validated processes. You support the operational team in understanding and optimizing the existing production process and reducing product cost price, lowering sustainability footprint and increasing the quality of our existing product portfolio. You will work together with technologists from other fields of expertise on creating the way of working for the investigation, development and validation of novel technologies.  

As our Process Technologist your key responsibilities include overseeing and optimizing the technologies we use for creating our insect products. You will have the following responsibilities as our Process Technologist:

• Reducing our footprint on existing products
• Reducing cost on processing
• Understanding product quality - processing interaction
• Optimization existing technologies/production process
• Providing the correct process boundaries and parameters to create the required product specs
• Developing stable, validated processes for new and improved products

Collaboration with colleagues for our R&D, Engineering and other departments is vital for staying at the forefront  of industry advancements. The insect industry is a young and emerging market, where we still make giant leaps. As a Process Technologist, you will be one of the frontrunners of a new industry.

• Bachelor's or master's in food processing / food technology / chemical technology.  
• Minimum of 5 years' work experience in processing of proteins, development of processes.  
• Fluent English, both speaking and writing. Knowledge of the Dutch language is an advantage.
• You can shape and structure projects in a self-sufficient manner.   
• You can align stakeholders both internally and externally.  
• Self-starting, proactive and a drive for sustainability.  
• You keep the bigger picture in mind and are goal driven.  
• You are interested in working in a fast-moving work environment.
