Introduction
As a SHEQ Officer at Protix, you will play a key role in shaping and securing the way we work by ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) within our operations. In this role, you’ll work closely with the SHEQ Manager as their trusted right hand while collaborating with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. Your success will be measured by the effective execution of SHEQ initiatives, stakeholder alignment, and accurate reporting.
What will your mission be?
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our SHEQ management system, focusing on operational tasks and technical execution rather than managerial responsibilities. With your eye for detail and passion for continuous improvement, you will contribute to a safe, healthy, and quality-driven work environment, supporting both internal teams and external partners.
What will be your responsibilities?
  • Develop and Implement SHEQ Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain policies to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Monitor and Improve SHEQ Performance: Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and evaluations to enhance SHEQ processes and standards.
  • Support Internal and External Audits: Guide and facilitate audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate Training and Awareness Programs: Organize and lead initiatives to educate and engage employees on SHEQ principles and practices.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Develop models, reports, and analyses to track and communicate SHEQ performance to management and stakeholders.
  • Operational Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements, turning ideas into concrete solutions.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Coaching and Guidance: Coach colleagues to align their work with SHEQ goals and foster a culture of safety and quality.
Who are you?
Education
  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, safety, quality, or (environmental) management.
 
Experience
  • Proven experience in SHEQ-related tasks within a production or industrial environment.
  • Experience with setting up and maintaining management systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (e.g., occupational health and safety law, ISO standards).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbal and written)

  • Familiarity with systems, products, and trends in SHEQ and the organization.
