What will your mission be?
Your mission will be to ensure acquisition, retention and expansion of customer contracts (cross- and upselling) through managing relevant relationships while sharing full responsibility with your colleagues for our sales budget.  Develop deep and strategic relationships with, and serve as a trusted and inspiring partner for, Protix' customers. With your proactive and methodical approach, you excite our customers and colleagues to grow the business and the insect industry beyond our wildest dreams. You make sure we can deliver efficiently and customer friendly by tuning with our operational department. Collaboration is in your genes. You always keep your eyes on the ball in achieving our company goals together with your talented colleagues within and outside the commercial department. 
What will be your responsibilities?
  • Develop and maintain suitable customer relationships (dependent on the customer segment), which include strong strategic partnerships with selected key  customers. 
  • Take a leading role in the multidisciplinary customer teams and develop successful customer diamond models where required. 
  • Develop, execute, and embed solid and inspiring account plans for Protix' focus customers. Including negotiating (annual) contract agreements and securing and monitoring customer sales performance 
  • Actively contributing to the customer segmentation.
  • Draw up an ambitious yet realistic sales plan and ensure the successful roll-out thereof.
  • Keep a close eye on and further shape developments in the markets, actively compile and use business intelligence data and analyses, co-create and adopt value propositions and other marketing materials. 
  • Actively contribute to the company e.g. by driving a customer-first mindset beyond the commerce function and by further developing commercial excellence.
Who are you?
  • You have 7+ years of experience as Sales Professional in a company (B2B) with international customers (preferably in Food/Feed/Ingredients industry)
  • You have obtained a HBO (BSc) or Msc degree in business administration / economics or similar studies
  • You are structured and forward thinking and able to work independently
  • You have an affinity with the agrifood industry 
  • You have excellent analytical skills 
  • You have a flexible and result orientated approach, ability to influence stakeholders and focus on results and commercial relations
  • You are extravert and adaptive 
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and verbal
  • You have a strong project management approach, excellent time-management- and organizational skills with a solid understanding of sales operations
  • You are deep knowledge of pricing and revue management
  • You are able and willing to travel in order to tailor to the needs of our international customer base
